League of Legends has announced 2016 World Championship to be held in United States at four different places. This is exciting because for the North American fans, it means gamers get to watch their favorite teams at a time they are not sleeping. The past two years it was held in Europe and South Korea, which the timezone did not align with watching a championship series. Now, North American fans have the opportunity to watch their favorite teams and enjoy the finals at a more conventional time-slot.
I had a privilege on going to Madison Square Garden on August 22 and 23 of 2015 for the North American League of Legends Summer Split Finals. It was a blast for my personal experience as well as for the fans who are passionate about the game.
It is very exciting to be a part of a gaming community and with its expansions to multiple places in the United States it shows the growth and acceptance of eSports into the western countries. So get excited this year and we at Ward eSports expect community gamers to rally and find community gaming weather they are going to the stadiums or locally organizing.
